COLLABORATIVE DIVORCE

Collaborative Divorce is a new concept in the field of matrimonial law, whereby the two parties and their attorneys agree to work together to achieve an agreement to resolve all issues related to the divorce, including alimony, child support, child custody, and equitable distribution. The parties in a Collaborative Divorce execute an agreement whereby they agree to utilize separate counsel in the event that the matter is litigated. Collaborative Divorce is an alternative method of divorce and is best utilized when the parties are in agreement as to how to distribute assets and allocate support, but both want to utilize counsel.
